The ELC Nursery Rhyme Show

The Early Learning Center (ELC) puts on a fun "show" of nursery rhymes in the spring. Kacy had fun as a pig last year. She participated again this year and these are some pictures from the event of both Kacy, Hayley, and their friends. Kacy was sitting next to Auntie "Jo" (Laura Jo) who is one of her primary teachers this year. You'll see them several times.

Spontaneous Intracranial Hypotension

What is this...look it up. However, this is what my dad was recently tentatively diagnosed with. Basically, excruciating/debilitating headaches whenever he sits/stands...however if he lays flat on his back the pain goes away almost instantly. He has had these headaches for about a week now and has been in the hospital since Monday morning. He is doing better now, although he has to lay flat and take IV fluids. The treatment is continued bed rest with IV's. The duration of the bed rest is yet to be determined. Please keep him in your prayers...I know that he is depending on it.

We had a good Mother's Day today. Here is our day in pictures. Sara was dedicated at church today. After church, we took some pictures and enjoyed a beautiful day.

A Day in the Life of Mr. Price...

I recently spoke in a couple chapels as part of a 5 week series student life ministries did on Truth at TCIS. As part of that, we did a short documentary on what my job is since it seems a bit hard to describe. We thought you might enjoy it as well.

Bubbles

Kacy loves being the big sister. She had fun blowing bubbles in the bathtub for Sara this week. Sara was pretty enthralled...

The Prodigal Son (aka Granddaddy Gets in Trouble)

In the Penland realm and the surrounding communities, Dr. Penland is known for his rather infamous "prodigal son" talk. It is not performed often, but when it done, it has a way of capturing the attention of the audience, even the elementary kids. Perhaps this story is best told in pictures...








Needless to say, Kacy was enthralled from the back. Hayley was on the front row to view the spectacle. They both agreed afterwards that Granddaddy was in trouble for cutting his shirt and playing in the mud.

I-Fest (International Festival)

So, this past Saturday, May 5th, is Children's Day in South Korea. Our school, TCIS, coincides this day with our annual International Festival. We have had some unbelievable weather and this past Saturday was no different, sunny and about 75 F. It was beautiful and a great day to spend outside. There are a variety of activities, events, and food to celebrate on this day. Some of the highlights for our family...

• Kacy--face painting, air castle jumping, cart rides, making candles, cotton candy, but certainly not the fireworks! She claims that she will have to be 5 years old before she can enjoy those.
• Sara--people watching, balloons everywhere, some vanilla ice cream--thanks daddy! Additionally, Sara, who usually won't go to anyone spent most of the day with strangers. We have come to a sort of realization that maybe she doesn't realize that she is white (skinned) because she went to another of a different skin color with no problem, but sometimes have trouble with our co-teachers and friends, go figure...
• Darren and Laura--enjoyed the day outside, some great Indian/Pakistani food, a good way to spend time with people and hang out.
