Granddaddy's Birthday!
Last Tuesday, September 15th was Granddaddy's birthday! We all went out for dinner at TGIF's! It was great fun. Kacy was adament that they needed to sing Happy Birthday to Granddaddy! Grandma brought a pie and we orderd some ice cream!

Granddaddy said he was making a wish...so all the kids got into making wishes. Darren just caught the tail end of the very funny conversation.
Oh, and the presents...everyone helped Granddaddy open his presents!

Sunday River Walk

Our pastor spoke last spring on the principle of the Sabbath and the importance of a rhythm of rest in our lives. The last couple weeks have been very full and this weekend seemed to have little time for us to take a break together. So we decided to take a walk down by the river after some Skype time with family.

The girls were excited at an opportunity to take their shoes off and put their foot in some cool, clear water where a few little minnows were also playing.

Things were going quite splendidly until Sara tripped on a rock and ended up on face planting herself in the water. She described to us exactly what happened as Sara has a tendency to do.

Soccer
Kacy started soccer for the first time on Saturday. Mommy volunteered Daddy to help coach with some others. It was a lot of fun and Kacy did great! She worked really hard and had tons of fun!

Sara had fun playing with the jerseys. She couldn't really decide what team she wanted to be on.

Kacy did well in her game as well.

It was a fun way to start the weekend.

Losing a Tooth
Kacy was thrilled to lose her first tooth. She was been waiting since the last part of June when the dentist told her it was loose. She has been playing with it. We found it really lose when we examined it closely and Daddy just plucked it out with a gentle pull with a tissue. Kacy was also very excited that it didn't hurt. She is a cutie...
