big girl, better ballet

Instructions to Kacy as I put her on the bus to go across town and take ballet lessons:

• Get in your seat and put your seatbelt on...don't take it off for any reason.
• Only talk to Jamie on the bus.
• When the bus driver tells you it is time for you to get off, don't get off unless Jamie's grandmother is there to pick you up.
• When you get off the bus look both ways...don't run across the parking lot.
• If Jamie's grandmother isn't there then just ride the bus back to TCIS.
• You have daddy's phone number in your bag, call him if ANYTHING happens.
  
• I will pick you up from ballet, don't leave, I will be there.

As I left her on the bus, repeating my instructions, I assigned a sophomore to make sure she followed all my directions. I told her that I had a meeting, but my phone would be on. Another teacher was there (Julie O'Neil) she just laughed at me, but admitted she would probably be freaking out too!

All that to say that Kacy has started taking ballet lessons. She and Jamie Lee (Esther Kim's little girl) are doing this together. Here are some pictures of the first day. She was just "trying it out" but loved it! Kacy has seriously been talking about taking ballet since she was two and she is happy to finally be able to do it.

It has been fun to watch Kacy just over the past few days practice consistently. Seriously, she just sits with her legs in an "attempted" split and has gotten WAY better! She is so cute and at the present time completely dedicated and committed to this!
