Kacy Turns 7

November 29th, 2003 Kacy Reanne Price was born. I still remember the day...I mean who doesn't remember the day there children were born. I don't think I will ever forget that day. Now, 7 years and 3 kids later...we are at November 29th, 2010. Kacy decided that she wanted to celebrate her birthday with a tea party with her friends. We couldn't celebrate right away so we had a small party with our family first.

I just feel the need to keep you updated with pictures of Ethan in pretty much every post so you can enjoy his smiles and watch him grow up with us!

Kacy was pretty fortunate in that her Great Uncle Tim and Great Aunt Joyce were in town visiting over her birthday. U. Tim is an author of children's book and was doing a book tour here in Korea and presenting at ICEC, the ACSI conference that was held here in Korean. So, Uncle Tim and Aunt Joyce gave Kacy two of his books that she did not have. He also took some time and read them to the kids as well as gave some background information.

Dinner with Santa

Late November every year brings the start of the Christmas holidays. It generally speaking starts here with a Christmas Bizarre and Supper with Santa. This is an event that our kids look forward to all year really. They get to eat all sort of goodies, participate in crafts, and tell Santa what they want for Christmas.

Ethan spent most of the time in the stroller trying to figure out what was going on.

Some of the crafts included face painting and creating water globes. I thought the water globes were a great idea...but I don't know what happened to ours because it just looks pretty gross at this point. It might have to disappear.

Then on to Supper with Santa--As you can tell in this picture Ethan is just mesmerized with "Santa" he just looked at him the whole time, there was no way that he was going to look at the camera. Sara was watching Ethan and Kacy sat there looking at the camera...so this is the best we got, but this really is basically what each picture looks like.

The Three Muskateers--Kacy, Anja, and Jamie--All these girls are in 1st grade, there parents all work at TCIS and these girls "hang out" all the time. They have already had 2 sleep overs and apparently our house in next on the rotation. They remind me a lot of me and my friends when we were little...Calah I know we had a number of sleepovers and probably drove people crazy!

November 2010

So, we are almost halfway through November, it is hard to believe. Tomorrow, Ethan will be 6 months old. That is even hard to believe. We have had a lot of fun the past few weeks. The weather here has been beautiful so we have been trying to enjoy it as much as possible.

In some of these pictures you will notice that we decorated our Christmas tree, which most people will probably think we are crazy for doing so, but we really had to. Or at least I was able to convince us that we had to!  "Thanksgiving" the weekend when we usually decorate is not going to work this year because we have ICEC, an ACSI conference here in Korea. We are all going up for it making it a pretty crazy weekend. So, we decided to do it next weekend...however we have the Christmas Bazaar on Saturday, and then a wedding in Seoul on Sunday so neither of those days will work. We could wait until after Thanksgiving, but we leave mid-December to head back to the states. You see my logic. So, when we woke up Sunday morning and Ethan was running a little fever and we decided to stay home, we determined it as a great day to decorate. One huge advantage to having an artificial tree! ;)

Anyways, other than that there are images from hiking the paths behind my parents apartments and just being outside playing.  One additional note:  The song in here is Let your Light Shine by Hillsong Kids. Our girls love this song and it is frequently played in the car.  Enjoy!

Sara Emma Price

So, one day Sara will look back on all the pictures of herself and say, what was I doing? Right now, it is nearly impossible to get a "smile" from her. You have to be quick with the camera, because she is quick to be onto her silly faces. Anytime you ask her to say cheese you have about 2 seconds to snap it. I love her faces and this slide show is just one little "photo-op". Enjoy and you have a tiny glimpse into the life of Sara Emma. She is a mess, but she is a riot!

Kacy's Blog

Kacy has been watching us blog and we often show her what we have done and look at it. Recently, she has expressed an interest in starting her own blog. So we decided to let her. As she is in first grade and really starting to write and type we decided to work with her to help extend some of her skills. Sara's Birthday

So, this week has been a very busy week for the Price family. It started with PD on Monday and Tuesday. For those of you that don't know I got a new job this year, PYP Coordinator and ICT teacher. With this new position comes a different perspective on PD days. I get to help facilitate and run them. So now those PD days require a lot of work, attention, and brain activity for me. Needless to say at the end of the school day on Tuesday I was exhausted...but this was just the start of the week.

Wednesday was Sara's Dora birthday party. I'm not quite sure I always feel obligated to throw big parties, but I always enjoyed them as kids and know that my kids look forward to them. So, Darren spent a lot of Tuesday night cutting up fruits and vegetables while I spent the majority of Tuesday night making a map, coloring boots, and creating other fun activities. Thank goodness for my mom who made the cake...it was awesome as always!

So, Wednesday night I was ready to crash and tried to go to bed early. That never seems to happen. It wasn't long after I fell asleep that we got a phone call that one of the teachers at our sister school, GSIS, had passed away. This meant that Darren would have to get up at 4:30 the next morning to drive to Suwon to be there for a crisis management team, and meant that I was on my own with the kids. Something I'm quite used to when I'm prepared, but I wasn't prepared...so my Thursday got off to a shaky start.

We spent the rest of the week celebrating...Halloween on Friday, Kirk Hawkins B-day on Friday, celebration for another friend's birthday on Saturday, and so it goes. I do feel rested after the weekend and ready for another week...Hopefully at a slower pace than last weeks.

Sara's 4th Birthday!

I'm getting ready to teach Garage Band to 5th graders next year and needed a refresher...so Darren and I took some of her birthday pictures and had her explain what happened at her birthday party. Obviously there was a little prompting by me...but this is what you get with a little bit of work. Enjoy!
