Happy Birthday, Daddy!

We celebrated my birthday over the weekend. Laura had to be at school for the ES Soccer Jamboree so I took the girls off to the zoo. We had a good time and enjoyed some of the recent minor improvements to the Daejeon Zoo. We particularly liked being up close and personal with the tigers, Daddy's favorite animal...well, at least sort of until the Daddy Tiger growled very loud and eyed Sara like a raw piece of sirloin. Some baby lions jumped up on the glass and licked where our hands were. We enjoyed the little meerkats that played with us.

Although the animals were fun, the girls really wanted to ride some rides there. We had a good with that as well.

Then we headed back to the school to play around and take in some of the soccer fun.

Sara spent some time trying to figure out the engineering around the tetherball. She was fascinated by this little contraption for several minutes...

We ended the day with dinner with friends and family at Outback. Good times!
