Our New Place

As is always the case, traveling over the summer and the busyness of "relaxing" and being on vacation doesn't give tons of internet time or blogging. But, in an effort to keep folks up to date with our lives, here is an update.

We survived jetlag pretty well. The girls were troopers as always. One of the first couple nights, Kacy was sitting on the stairs playing her leapster. We stepped away for a couple minutes and continued to hear the Leapster making noise, but when we turned the corner, we found Kacy fast asleep. At least she didn't fall down the stairs.

While we were home over the Christmas for an extended time, we looked at various options for a home. We wanted a landing place for the summers as this is my last summer at Lehigh. We came across a place we liked and have purchased it over the spring. So our first 10 days in NC was filled with trying to get some furniture and getting off the air mattress. We have pieced the place together as much as possible in the short amount of time before I went off to classes.

Here is the big moment of some of our furniture arriving.

The girls love the bathtub and space of the new place. And, perhaps more than house, they love bubble baths.

Sara & Kacy are lounging on Mom & Dad's new bed.

Perhaps some folks can stop in and see us if they are out our way.

And here is a picture of Penland cousins. You can see Sara getting a big "cheese" in for the photo opportunity.

Cute picture of the Penland cousins... so with that thought I have to pass on something someone said to me this past week... "The Penlands are as thick as fleas and twice as pesky." The person who said that says, "Tell Tommy Penland to bring on the GOLF!" you can pass it along and try to figure it out... it is a very SMALL world
