Busan or Pusan

Spring Break and what better way to start each morning than with a little Starbucks coffee and breakfast!

Regardless of how you say it, Busan or Pusan, the port city in the southeast part of South Korea is quite nice. We had time off for spring break and since we were not traveling outside of Korea, we decided to at least head south for a few days. That is what people are supposed to do over spring break right? Head south! Anyways, we didn't go far enough because Busan was quite cold, but it was fun to get away for a few days.

Once again, getting away here is not exactly what you might think of it...seeing as most of the TCIS people that stayed in Korea opted to "get away" with us down in Pusan. Not that we are complaining, we had the opportunity to eat meals and hang out with people that we don't always get to hang out with.

We had a good time in Pusan and it is really an easy trip from Taejon. So, here are some updates...of course most of the pictures are of our kids.

This was shortly after we arrived. Our departure was a little delayed because we had to watch UNC beat Washington State. Sara is proud of her Tarheels!

This was the first trip out to the beach. There was no swimming and it was pretty cold, but it was nice just to be out on the beach. Kacy and Sara love playing in the sand.

We made it to the Pusan Aquarium. It was pretty cool with lots of things for the kids and adults to enjoy. Kacy freaked out at the sharks...she may have a little too much of her mother in her when it comes to some of her fears. Sara just walked around saying "fish, fish" and pointing. She loved it.

One morning we got up fairly early and walked out to the APEC house. It was a pleasant walk and a beautiful view. Darren spent a little bit of this trip carrying our kids like this...although not tons because that is a lot of weight.

One day we went out to Jagalchi Market...it is a famous fish market is a great picture of some of the fish they were selling. Below that is a picture taken off the dock behind it. I just like the picture. Once again that was a nice view.

Another adventure took us on a boat to circle some rocks/islands and back. Although things look good here the trip left us with memories. Ask me about it sometime.

This is just a picture, taken by Kacy of her parents. If you zoom in a lot on our camera and crop it, I think it will be a decent picture. Kacy was very proud of it.
