The 100th Post

I noticed that this is our 100th blog post. Our first post is recorded on Wednesday, December 13th, 2006, shortly after Sara was born. As I look back at the posts and pictures, wow! Kacy and Sara have both changed so much. Kacy is as cute as can be and as grown up as a 4 year can be. Sara has weathered some tough storms but come out like a champ at only 18 months! As I look back, I see how all 4 of us have experienced much change and growth in our lives. It is obvious in the kids' physical appearance and I can only pray it is as evident on the inside to those that know us. I have been reflecting back 6 years ago to when we first arrived in Korea...TCIS has changed, Daejeon has changed, our family has changed (0 to 2 kids), and our jobs have changed just to name a few. And I think that is good. Some people hate change...and at times, I'm not a fan either. However, life's seasons come and go and change is inevitable. So why not embrace it--adapt...grow...rather than restrict what we cannot control?

As I write this 100th post, I cannot help but also reflect on why we have spent the time and energy to write 100 blog entries. What is the point? For us, it records our life and the growth of our family. It gives us a way to communicate not only with others, but also ourselves. It gives us something to look back on and see where we have been. And perhaps the footprints we have left behind will help direct and guide us as we forge ahead into unknown adventures.

And on that note, cheers! May there be 100 more entries!
