"Scottish" Golf

A couple weeks ago, several of us recently had the opportunity to go to Edinborough, a golf country club a little outside of Daejeon. The course is nestled in the middle of the mountains and is actually on the side of one. The course itself is quite beautiful. Due to the location on the mountain, the wind is pretty strong and perhaps some reminiscent as I would envision Scottish golf. Despite some warm days this spring, this particular Saturday was frigid, and significantly colder in this mountain valley than urban life.

It was a fun day. We finished it off with a traditional Korean bath and a dinner of Korean beef which is considered quite fancy and expensive here. Korean farmers treat their cows with the utmost care and imported beef is much cheaper than Korean beef. They seek to have no stress for in the cows life and keep a careful diet. I will say that I have heard talk of the Korean beef many times but I think this was my first real meal of it. This little hole in the wall restaurant was phenomenal. It was quite good and I have to say that the meat did taste significantly better and I could taste a difference.
