International Festival

I-Fest May,3rd, 2008

Every year we have International Festival (I-Fest) at TCIS. This is like a mini-fair that we have that is used as a way to raise money for different groups as well as to celebrate different cultures. It is usually a nice day and a good way to celebrate Spring and the nearing of the end of the school year. This year was no different, the weather was the warmest we have had and it was a fun day. Some of the highlights for our family were...
#1 The Jumping Castle...both of our girls love this. The students that run it are really good too and they would let just the little kids jump periodically making it even better for our girls.
#2--The dunk tank--Darren and I enjoy watching people get dunked although Kacy really didn't think that it was very nice.
#3 The talent show--Hayley performed with her ballet group and a number of my students did different acts throughout the day.
#4--Food--The Indian Food is usually a highlight of the day and today was no different.
#5 Fireworks--Our kids tired out too early and so we didn't stay for the fireworks, but they are always great and lots of fun. What a great way to spend a day. Here are some pictures of the day.

Sara and Zachary Pinho enjoy each other during I-Fest.

Sara and Zachary continue with some eye gazing!

Sara loved the jumping castle.

As did Kacy...

This was a game were you pick up the little duck and it tells you whether you won or not. Sara didn't care about the outcome but loved to pick up the ducks and say, "Quack, Quack!"

Kirk was trowing balls so as to "dunk" Lisa while she was in the tank. If you haven't heard about the "Free Hamsters" sign Kirk is wearing it is worth the time. Let's just say the Hawkins learned real quickly that buying two hamsters that were both girls, wasn't so and they reproduce QUICKLY! 17 hamsters later, they were begging people to take them away.

Darren's turn with Sara in the jumping castle.
