Christmas Eve 2009

Christmas Eve started with some last minute shopping. We headed out to Timeworld Gallery to get a few last minute things. We enjoyed a drink at Starbucks while we were out. After our shopping venture we headed home to finish our wrapping and then over to Hawkins house for dinner. In between some of daily events we snapped some pictures of our kids. At the Hawkins we enjoyed some sub sandwiches and some homemade pizzas.

Following the Hawkins house we headed to church for the Christmas Eve service. I made a mistake and put our girls in in bows that had jingles on them. Sara insisted of shaking her head to the beat of the music through the whole service. She was quite a scene. Then when single Angels we have Heard on High she got carried away on Gloria and kept singing after everyone else. It was one of those awkward situations as a parent where you want your child to enjoy the music and enjoy being in church, but you don't want her to be too distracting. We walked a fine-line that evening.

Following the Christmas Eve service we headed home to our tradition of opening one Christmas present, always pajamas, reading the Christmas story, and then leaving cookies and milk out for Santa. Someone at church suggested that we leave carrots for the reindeer so we did that too. Kacy felt the need to explain to Santa what the carrots were for.
